Absa appoints Keith Kalyegira new board chairperson

Absa’s Board of Directors has appointed Keith Kalyegira as its new chairperson succeeding Nadine Byarugaba.

Prior to this appointment, Kalyegira served as the CEO of the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) from December 2013 until the expiry of his contract in 2023.

Prior to taking over the role at CMA, he was the Strategic Advisor at the Energy Water and Sanitation Authority, Rwanda. Between 2008 and 2013, he was a Managing Partner at Momentum Consulting and Capital Ltd, an investment advisory service.
