Whether the interior of your home is large, you still need an outdoor space to relax and entertain. Consider maximizing the porch, making it a perfect extension of the living room.
A porch is a covered shelter attached to the entrance of the house. Some home owners choose to enclose it while in some homes, its left open.
Just embellish it to create a comfortable relaxation spot according to Christine Tendo, an interior designer and landscaper.
Add outdoor furniture covered in outdoor fabrics that are weather resistant.
“Ensure to arrange the furniture to mimic a living room,” she says.
Remember to have a focal point and this can be a center table or unique rug. Then, create a conversation area or arrange the furniture in such a way that people face each other.

Maureen Nakabuye another designer suggests adding curtains or large potted plants including creepers and droppers for privacy. They can be ferns, ivys, vines and palms among others. You can also add more pots in different designs and sizes plus hanging baskets full of flowers in bloom for a burst of colour.
Also, feel free to add a rug and lights. The space will feel cozy and warm even in the night.
Tendo is of a view to display some art work on the walls but ensure the pieces match with other accessories such as the pillows and rug.
