From dug-up carriageways and pot-holed stretches, to temporary flooding whenever it rains, driving in Kampala has become hell for motorists.
“The roads may look messy at the moment, but these works are necessary. We are upgrading underground services and strengthening road foundations. Drainage, water and sewer lines must be fixed before final surfacing, so that roads last longer and are not repeatedly dug up,” Buzeki said.
KAMPALA - Kampala’s roads may appear chaotic, muddy and heavily congested, but city authorities insist the current state is a deliberate phase of long-term infrastructure upgrades, not neglect.
