Vice President Alupo in Riyadh for Future Investment Initiative conference

Under the theme, “The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth,”  the four-day conference (October 27-30) in Riyadh will bring together the world's most influential leaders, investors, policymakers, CEOs, and innovators.

Vice President Maj (Rtd) Jessica Alupo is in Saudi Arabia for the Ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII). 

The FII,  powered by the FII Institute, is a leading global platform bringing together government, business, and investment leaders to shape the future of international finance and innovation. 

Representing President Yoweri Museveni, the VP on Sunday arrived at the Royal Terminal of King Khalid International Airport, where she was received by the Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz, and Ambassador Isaac Biruma Sebulime, among other dignitaries.

The annual investment forum was established in 2017 by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince.

He is also Saudi's Prime Minister, chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, and chairman of the Public Investment Fund.

Under the theme, “The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth,”  the four-day conference (October 27-30) in Riyadh will bring together the world's most influential leaders, investors, policymakers, CEOs, and innovators.  

The conference will also explore how leaders across sectors can unlock new pathways for growth in a world of accelerating change and growing complexity.




With over 5,000 participants from more than 90 countries, the gathering is a focal point for shaping the flows of capital, ideas, and partnerships that define global investment trends.

According to the FII website, core discussions will address the balance between energy security and climate goals, the impact of innovation on labour markets, geopolitical stability, and the role of cross-border investment in driving economic resilience. 

Hosted annually by the Public Investment Fund, the  FII is also commonly known as  Davos in the Desert.
