Uganda's housing deficit: who will save low-income earners?

According to Judith Nabakooba, the Minister for lands, Housing and Urban Development, the Government is consulting stakeholders, in regards to establishing low-cost houses for low-income earners.

According to Habitat for Humanity, Uganda's housing deficit stands at 2.4 million housing units, of which 210,000 units are in urban areas and 1.395 million units in rural areas.
