Two perish in Masindi motor accident

POLICE | ACCIDENT | DEATH 

MASINDI - Simon Ayebale, 32, and Paul Bagologoza, 35, both staff members of Kinyara Sugar Ltd have died on the spot after being involved in an accident on the Masindi-Biiso road.

According to an eyewitness, the accident occurred at 11:00am on July 30 when the deceased were knocked by a speeding car.

"They were rammed into the by a speeding truck belonging to a road construction company while they had parked on the roadside," the eye witness said.

The eyewitness added that the duo was moving from Masindi town to the Kinyara sugar factory at the time of the accident.

Albertine region Police spokesperson Allan Julius Hakiza later said he would provide updates regarding the same.

Carolyn Amongin, the Kinyara Corporate Communications Manager confirmed that they had lost their two staff members adding that Ayebale was working as a clinical officer at Kinyara Health Centre III, while Bagologoza was an out-grower extension worker at the company.
