Bridal gomesi fabrics are so heavily embellished nowadays that the stones end up leaving small cuts on the bride's body at the end of the function.

But are there easier options, which are just as beautiful?

Evelyn Nassuna has been in the business and agrees that trends are fast-changing and sometimes not very user friendly.

"The all-stone fabric is really beautiful but very heavy. The gomesi in itself is made from lots of fabric, which adds to the weight and the stones can cut the bride as she is wearing it. However, there are many other friendlier embellishments like sequins, which are lighter and shiny, pearls, beads and so on," she says.

More to that the " elegance " look featuring a matching sash can indeed add to the weight because the embellishments on the whole ensemble are doubled.
