Taxman beefs up fight against smuggling

“As we draw close to June 30, departments have stepped up efforts to ensure that all revenue leakages are sealed and every penny is collected, in sight of the surplus,” the press release reads. 

The taxman added that in Mbale city, the team managed to thwart the activities of various smugglers effectively impounding three vehicles that were being used to transport uncustomed goods.
