KAPCHORWA - Kapchorwa Police has in detention a one Alex Somin (suspected army deserter), who allegedly stabbed his wife to death on Monday over infidelity.
Stella Chebet was reportedly stabbed at about 4:00pm, after Somin suspected that she was having multiple extra-marital affairs. The couple lived in Sirinda Village.
Somin was intercepted opposite Kapchorwa Central Police Station along Kapchorwa Suam road.
Police have condemned such actions, and asked couples to desist from such extremes.
“The cause of the matter domestic, preliminary information is that the suspect believed that the deceased was having an affair love with other men,” Police said.
“However the police would like to appeal to the members of the public not to take the law into their hands but seek other peaceful means of solving their issues amicably.”
