SOROTI - A case in which Soroti city-based Jozan Nursery and Primary School proprietor Joseph Okedi, his wife and six others are accused of murdering a pupil has flopped.
The Soroti Grade One Magistrates' Court could not on May 29, 2025, hear the case involving the death of Faith Joan Apio, a twin and pupil of the school. Despite the complainants, the deceased's mother and the father being present in court, the accused were absent both physically and virtually.

Magistrate Kasujja Kibirige said the state prosecutor, who was to inform court of the status of investigations in this case, was out on official duty.
John Bosco Obotol, 34, attached to the Crime Intelligence Department (CID), is remanded together with the Director of the school, Joseph Okedi and his wife, Susan Vivian Ariokot Okedi, 38, also the co-director of the school.
