State House has intervened in a land dispute involving a retired Anglican priest and district officials in Kibaale district.

The contested piece of land measures 15 acres and is found in Byohya village, Rusenke parish, Kyebando sub-county in Kibaale district.

Retired Rev. Canon Wilson Barugahara have since 2020 been feuding with a group of people who are claiming ownership of the land.

Available information indicates that Barugahara inherited the land from his late father Stephano Byafaki.

The retired canon, in January this year, petitioned the Aolunteer's Anti-corruption Campaign Africa (VACOCA) department of State House over the matter to come to his rescue.

In a letter dated April 02, 2025, signed by Nabwire Elizabeth, the VACOCA volunteer, and addressed to the chairman Kibaale land board, reads that there is a meeting on Wednesday, April 09,  at 11:00 am to discuss the way forward.
