Socialite Bryan White’s wife remanded over woman’s death

KAMPALA - The wife of Kampala socialite Brian Kirumira aka Bryan White, has been charged and remanded to Luzira Prison over the death of Caroline Nalubwama, 25.

Meanwhile, Bryan White, 38, failed to appear before the Makindye Chief Magistrates’ Court on November 13, 2025, after reportedly falling ill.

Bryan White and his wife, Naava Nakato, are charged jointly with Daisy Nalunga (Bryan White’s housewife), Daphine Abaho (advocacy officer), and Joyce Irene Nambalirwa (administrator of Mukyala Mabirizi Nursing Home).

Bryan White is facing charges of human sacrifice, contrary to Section 2 (1) and 3 (b) (1) of the Prevention and Prohibition of Human Sacrifice Act.

He is also battling charges of manslaughter, specific rash and neglect, and being in possession of marijuana, contrary to sections 170, 178, 211, and 4(1) (2) of the Penal Code Act and Narcotic and Psychotropics Substances Act, respectively.

Bryan White is also facing charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and giving false information, together with his wife Nakato, Nalunga, and Abaho.

Meanwhile, Nambalirwa is charged with manslaughter and doing rash and negligent act causing death.

The offence of manslaughter attracts a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, on conviction, while human sacrifice is punishable by death.

The accused (Nakato, Nalunga, Abaho, Nambalirwa), were arraigned before Makindye Court Grade One Magistrate Teddy Nakawuki, who remanded them after noting that the case file had not been assigned to her court.

Magistrate Nakawuki informed the unrepresented accused persons that they will reappear before Chief Magistrate Sarah Basemera on December 04, 2025.

According to the charge sheet, Bryan White is a resident of Kyamula Zone Munyonyo Makindye Division in Kampala district.
