Former Supreme Mufti Sheikh Silimani Kasule Ndirangwa is dead.
Close sources confirmed that he passed on at Mengo Hospital in Kampala on Friday evening.
Kasule Silman Ndirangwa was born on October 9, 1962, to Hajji Muhammad Kasule (RIP) and Hajjat Ajiri Nakawungu of Kirayangoma, Kisekka sub-county, in present-day Lwengo district.
In 2021 Sheikh Ndirangwa announced his resignation as the Supreme Mufti of Uganda leading the Kibuli-based Muslim faction a position he held for five years since 2015 after the death of Sheikh Zubairi Kayongo.
