Security guard linked to TikTokker's death to be charged today

Police on Thursday, February 12, 2026, said a security guard arrested in connection with the murder of city socialite Diana Namulinde, also known as Diana Sky, will be charged today in court. 

Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said the guard, Marvin Webisa, is set to be arraigned before the City Hall Chief Magistrate’s Court on allegations of rape, murder, and aggravated robbery.

"This follows his arrest after he was found in possession of items belonging to the deceased," Owoyesigyire said.

The deceased was murdered on the night of February 3, 2026, in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division, Kampala City.

Police said Namulinde, a 24-year-old businesswoman and social media content creator, was living alone in an apartment in Kyanja, Kampala suburbs.  Her body was discovered on February 4, 2026, by friends who had  gone to her apartment.

Earlier the same day, police arrested a security guard attached to the premises after he was found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen. Some of the recovered items were later identified as belonging to the deceased.

A team of homicide detectives and Scene of Crime Officers visited and documented the scene. Several exhibits were recovered, and statements from relevant witnesses were recorded.

Police said three suspects had been identified, and two were arrested to assist with investigations.
