SC Villa Forward Patrick Kakande has attributed his form to the freedom given to him by coach Dusan Stojanovic.

Kakande revealed this after Villa came from a goal down to beat Express 2-1 at Wankulukuku Stadium.

Kakande as been man of the match against Express and Busoga United (2-1).

"I compose myself very well and when am with the ball, I don't fear any defenders. The coach gave me the freedom to do whatever I wanted as long as I played to the benefit of the team. It also helps me to improve as a player," he stated.

Express took the lead through Alpha Ssali in the 14th minute following an assist from Isaac Wagoina.

Kakande levelled matters in the 35th minute following a good build-up play started by Kakande as the first half saw both sides share spoils in a 1-1 draw.

In the second half, Villa picked up a penalty after Ronald Ssekiganda was fouled by Abbel Muwanguzi. Umar Lutalo took the penalty in the 63rd minute as Villa remained 6th with 16 points, three above seventh Express. BUL is top with 25 points.

For Express, they have now gone six games without a win. The loss against SC Villa was Alex Isabirye's first game as Express coach. He was appointed on Thursday.

Isabirye who has been clubless since leaving his post at Vipers, will work alongside club legend Hassan Mubiru. Mubiru has been the interim coach.

He replaced James Odoch who was fired on Tuesday. Odoch and his assistant Eric Ndifuna were sacked due to poor performances.
