KAMDINI - Police detectives in Oyam District are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 30-year-old man whose body was discovered in an unfinished septic tank in Kamdini Township.
Panic ensued when Solomon Oma's body, bearing six knife wounds to the neck, was discovered on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
Oma, of Alec in Pukica Parish, Kamdini Sub-County, is the son of Charles Molo.
Terence Omonya, the Chairperson of LC III Kamdini Sub-County, revealed that this was the fifth murder within three months. The deceased included two drivers and a woman.
He described the insecurity in Kamdini Town as alarming.
A preliminary finding indicates that the deceased was killed inside a local restaurant identified as Mok Tami, located on the Kamdini-Kampala Highway, where he worked as a guard.
The authorities close to the investigations revealed that the woman was linked to a criminal gang which targeted businesspeople.
Moses Olade, the elected Chairperson of LC III Kamdini sub-County, says the murders are linked to love affairs. Olade has called for police patrols in the area to curb crime, which is on the rise.
Authorities also raised a red flag over the nightly discos, which they said affect effective security patrols.
The police officer in charge of Kamdini police station, Fred Odong, appealed to the community for anyone who comes across the wrong people to link the information to the police.
