President Yoweri Museveni has held talks with a group of investors from South Korea.

The guests at State House Entebbe on Wednesday included Kwon Hurkkoo, Cho Shanghyu and Kim Jinwook, all Directors of HINENI Ltd.  

HINENI Ltd is a registered company in Uganda with its headquarters in Nakawuka, Wakiso district.

During the Wednesday (July 17th) meeting, President Museveni and his guests discussed areas of mutual interest and cooperation.

A release from Presidential Press Units (PPU) stated that during discussions, Kwon revealed plans to establish an automotive manufacturing plant to produce different items, among others, electric batteries to complement Kiira Motors Corporation.

He said that his team, who had visited the Kiira Motors Corporation plant will offer training opportunities in South Korea for Uganda's professionals.

The PPU press handout also revealed that the HINENI Ltd team also expressed interest in construction, revealing plans to invest in Styrofoam roofing sheets. 

Cho, an ICT expert, said he was interested in advanced ICT technology and installation opportunities in Uganda.

Several Government officials who attended the meeting include Monica Musenero, the minister of science, technology and innovation, state minister for labour Esther Davinia Anyakun and ICT ministry permanent secretary Aminah Zawedde.

Others present included Paul Isaac Musasizi, the CEO of Kiira Motors Corporation and Prof. Vincent Anigbogu, the founder of the Institute of National Transformation.

The State House release indicates that the investors' delegation at the meeting also included Ji Soonim, Kim Jeong Dae, Cho Kyungsik, Shin Chaechul and Richard Okodel Mukhalu.
