President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has met and held "a strategic discussion" with the German Ambassador to Uganda, Matthias Schauer.
Their meeting on Friday (June 13) was held at State Lodge, Nakasero in the capital Kampala.
A statement from the President's press team said the meeting focused on exploring ways to enhance collaboration in key sectors such as trade, investment, technology, and sports development.
Museveni and Schauer reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the longstanding partnership between Uganda and Germany.
The Ugandan leader emphasised the importance of partnerships based on mutual respect and shared development goals, highlighting Uganda’s commitment to sustainable progress.
On his part, Schauer thanked Museveni for the warm reception and the opportunity to engage in a meaningful dialogue.
He expressed optimism about the continued growth of Uganda–Germany relations.
