President Museveni holds talks with US Ambassador Popp in Mbale

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Sunday, November 9, met with the United States Ambassador to Uganda, William W. Popp, for high-level discussions at Mbale State Lodge.
The meeting, which took place during the President’s brief break from his campaign trail in Bugisu, focused on key areas of mutual interest and collaboration between Uganda and the United States.

According to a brief statement from State House, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the long-standing bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Museveni is expected to conclude his Bugisu tour with a rally in Mbale on Monday (November 10) before heading to the Sebei sub-region.
