Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja is in Italy to represent President Yoweri Museveni at the Italy - Africa Summit taking place in Rome.

The two-day conference aims to strengthen ties and collaboration between Africa and Italy.

It's also a platform for the host country to present their strategic plan aimed at reviewing its approach to the African continent.

A source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the agenda of the summit covers diverse areas of cooperation, including education, energy, culture, vocational training, economic and infrastructure development, and food security plus a discussion on the fight against human trafficking and terrorism.

Kenya’s President, William Ruto the current chair of the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSCC) is scheduled to deliver an address on Energy Security.

The EU leaders and representatives of international organisations are among those attending the summit.
