KAMPALA - Police in Jinja are investigating the death of an unidentified woman whose body was discovered on June 28, 2025, along Kyabazinga Road in Jinja city's southern division.
According to Police Spokesperson Rusoke Kituuma, the body was discovered by a woman who had gone to check her tools stored in a nearby maize plantation. A report was filed at Nalufenya Police Station at around 11:00am.
“Our forensic teams have cordoned off the scene and initiated investigations. We appeal to the public to come forward with any information that could help identify the deceased,” Kituuma said at the weekly briefing.
He added that investigators are examining surrounding security camera footage and tracing the victim’s last known movements.
