The suspects, according to the Police, have been on the wanted list for allegedly being part of the recent aggravated robberies within Kabale Municipality.
According to a statement released by Kigezi region Police spokesperson Elly Maate, the suspects were arrested from their respective places of residence during an operation following an intelligence tip-off on February 23, 2025.
He identified the individuals as Joshua Mugarura, 20, a resident of Kabisha cell in Mwendo parish, Kitumba sub-county in Kabale district and Junior Niwamanya, 18, a resident of Pida Cell, Upper Bugongi Ward, southern division Kabale municipality and Ronald Taremwa, 20, a resident of Kaburara Cell, Mwendo parish Kitumba sub-county.

“These operations will continue, and efforts are being made to get all other associates of these suspects to answer charges accordingly,” Maate explained, adding that on completion of their inquiries, the suspects will be arraigned before courts of law to answer charges accordingly.
