The Anti-Riot Police have been deployed at the Islamic University (IUIU) campus in Mbale City to thwart a planned strike by students over missing marks.
Sources from the IUIU security office disclosed on Monday morning that the students threatening to riot are from the department of law.
According to a letter written to Police by the students, the institution’s administrators were given up to 2pm today (Monday) to provide a solution for the missing results.
However, Police have vowed not to allow any demonstration to take place.
The Police have been trying to convince the students’ leadership and the administrators to engage in discussion and come up with a solution.
At the campus, no administrator was available to comment on the claims raised by students.
Reports indicate that this is not the first-time results have gone missing.
