According to Kalule, of the 798,771 candidates, 379,414 representing 47.4% are males and the rest 419,357 are females.

The first day of the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) was largely successful, according to Jeniffer Kalule, the principal communications officer of the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
