Parliament passes sh72 trillion budget, PDM gets sh1 trillion

Shadow finance minister Ibrahim Ssemujju presented a minority report on the budget estimates, arguing that Parliament should only approve a realistic and restructured budget that addresses Uganda’s deepening socio-economic challenges. 

Parliament has approved the sh72 trillion national budget for the 2025/26 financial year, despite concerns raised by MPs over inadequate funding for critical public services. (New Vision/Files)
