Parliament hopeful dies after collapsing in bathroom
Abima died on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Nsambya Hospital, where he was rushed to after collapsing in his bathroom at his home last week.

Stephen Abima, who was one of the candidates and a frontrunner in the race for workers Member of Parliament (MP) in the forthcoming election for the period of 2026-2031, is dead.
Abima died on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Nsambya Hospital, where he was rushed to after collapsing in his bathroom at his home last week.
Abima was a seasoned worker and the general secretary for the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers Union and a candidate for the workers' Member of Parliament.
By press time, the bereaved family had not yet released the funeral program.
