Panga-wielding thugs raid military officer, steal sh70m, pistol

The assailants smashed his vehicle windows, grabbed a black bag containing the cash, a Star pistol (UG 1005) with 15 rounds, and a laptop and sped off towards Kampala, leaving the stunned officer with a minor injury to his right arm.

The UPDF officer, Masiko, had reportedly just withdrawn sh70m from Centenary Bank, Freedom City branch, at around 2:00pm on Saturday.
