A total of 547 students graduated from Nakawa Vocational Training College (NVTC) on Friday, June 30, 2023.
Out of the total number, 65 were female representing 11.1% whereas 482 were male, which constitutes 88.9%.
This means that fewer female students graduated as compared to their male counterparts. According to the college's Principal, Godfrey Muwanga, the institution's 9th graduation saw learners from Diploma in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Diploma in Technical Teacher Education (DITTE), electrical installation, electrical engineering, automobile engineering and building and civil engineering.Kenneth Kaijura CEO National Housing and Construction Co. Muwanga said that the graduands have been equipped with enough skills to help them earn a better future. "I congratulate all the graduands and parents who have struggled all through to reach this milestone. Go out there and be light to the world," Muwanga said in an interview, shortly before the ceremony.
