The students benefited from the Presidential Initiative for Skilling the Girl/Boy Child and they started in March 2023 and ended in September last year for the first intake.

The second intake began in October last year and ended this month leading to Tuesday’s graduation.

"I'm grateful to the President for offering me education for free. I have completed a tailoring course and I will return to a different person who can take care of my family," said a happy Hellen Atengo from Kumi.

Daniel Okiror from Kapelebyong said his parents were unable to take him to further his studies resulting in him being at home.

"I would be wasted in the village drinking but with the carpentry skills I have acquired, I will be of help to myself and my family," Okirir said.
