A total of 384 Police officers from the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), Forensic Services, and K9 Unit have started a one-month skills enhancement and ideological orientation course in Kikandwa, Wakiso district.
The course was officially opened by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Abas Byakagaba, at the Police Field Force Unit Training Base on Tuesday, April 22, according to a statement by the Force.
“The course aims to equip officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively contribute to national development programs such as the Parish Development Model, subcounty policing model, and Emyooga, among others,” it said.
Byabakama emphasised the importance of utilising acquired skills and improving police service delivery.
In attendance were senior officers including directors Tom Magambo (CID), Moses Kafeero (Human Resource Development as well as Andrew Mubiru, the acting director of Forensic Services.
