“In a strategic move aimed at improving coordination, strengthening partner value, and reducing duplication, Rotary leadership across Dist9213, Dist9214, and the Zone Institute organising team has adopted a collaborative sponsorship model for these major events,” Keith Donald Mugisha, public image chair for DISCON 101, said.

He added, “Under this framework, corporate and development partners will engage through a single, coordinated sponsorship platform, rather than through multiple separate requests for events taking place within the same country and calendar period.”

Mugisha explained that the joint sponsorship framework is designed to streamline engagement with corporate and development partners, enhance sponsor visibility across multiple Rotary events, and provide broader access to Rotary’s leadership, business, and service networks.

He added that the arrangement will strengthen collaboration among Rotary entities in Uganda and create a more structured and rewarding partnership experience for sponsors and partners alike.

“Through this arrangement, sponsors will benefit from enhanced brand exposure, high-level networking opportunities, and meaningful association with Rotary’s service initiatives and community impact programmes,” Mugisha said.

Mugisha, who noted that over sh600 million in cash and more than sh300 million in kind has already been secured from sponsors, said the events are expected to attract Rotary leaders, business executives, policymakers, development partners, and distinguished guests from across Uganda, the region, and the wider Rotary network.

He said key partners include platinum sponsor Centenary Bank, gold sponsors Vaal Real Estate, Stanbic Bank, Fotogenix, Prudential, Next Media, Fireworks Advertising and GK Foods, as well as silver sponsors Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, Nile Breweries Limited, Goldgate CPA, National Social Security Fund, Uganda Tourism Board, Roke Telecom, Joint Medical Store, National Medical Stores, Uganda Breweries and Sumz.

Mugisha added that bronze sponsors include NCBA Bank, Old Mutual, Harris International Limited Krystal Water, Crown Beverages Limited, Pepsi, Media World Production, Royal Way Media, National Drug Authority, Cavendish University and Serena Kigo.

District 9213 governor Geoffrey Martin Kitakule said Rotary continues to champion sustainable service and community transformation through initiatives in health, education, youth empowerment, environmental conservation, economic development, peacebuilding and leadership.

According to Kitakule, Rotary in Uganda has implemented projects worth over sh8 billion since the start of the 2025/2026 Rotary year in July.

“The upcoming events will also provide an important platform to showcase Rotary’s achievements, strategic partnerships, and future opportunities for collaboration,” he said.

District 9214 governor Christine Kyeyune Kawooya thanked sponsors for strengthening Rotary’s ability to serve communities and connect leaders.

“What we are witnessing today is more than sponsorship, it is shared investment, community leadership and better future for all of us,” Kawooya said.

She called on more institutions to partner with Rotary to create lasting impact and transform communities.

The organising chair of the 7th All Africa Zone Institute and past District 9213 governor, Mike Kennedy Ssebalu, congratulated Rotary clubs in both districts for their impact this Rotary year.

He explained that district conferences are convened to celebrate achievements of clubs and set future strategies, adding that the Zone Institute will bring together Rotary leaders from across Africa for training, workshops, dynamic discussions and networking.

The executive director of Centenary Bank Uganda, Fabian Kasi, representing sponsors, said the bank believes in strong communities and partnerships.

“We come to strengthen who we stand for, what we stand for, and we look forward to a strong conference,” Kasi said.

He announced that the bank will contribute sh280 million towards the three events, with sh100 million allocated to each district conference and sh80 million towards organising the 7th All Africa Zone Institute.
