Ofwono Opondo's mother laid to rest

Rhoda Opondo, the mother of the government spokerson Ofwono Opondo, was on Saturday laid to rest at her home in Mulanda village, Mulanda sub-county.
The burial was attended by a cross-section of political and cultural leaders from the Tieng Adhola Cultural Institution.
Others who attended the burial included Mbarara City North legislator Robert Mwesigwa Rukaari and his wife Phionah, and Fox Odoi (West Budama North).
The state Minister for defense, Jacob Marksons Oboth-Oboth, who was the chief mourner, hailed the deceased as a great person who supported the growth of her family and the entire padhola land.
Oboth said Roda was a great counsellor who caused serious social economic transformation by supporting education of her children.
The deceased is survived by 10 children, 11 grandchildren and three great grand children.
