NRM official slain in Bukedea poll clash

Wamimbi sustained severe injuries and was initially rushed to Kachumbala Police Station, where he later collapsed. He was taken to Elgon Hospital and subsequently referred to Mulago National Referral Hospital, but died on the way in the early hours of Thursday.

The deceased, Samson Wamimbi, the NRM chairperson of Aligoi sub-county, died following injuries sustained during clashes between rival supporters in Akerei village.
