New Law Year Celebrations

The New Law Year is an annual event where the Judiciary gives a detailed account to the stakeholders about its performance in the previous years, challenges and what it intends to achieve in the New Law Year.

Present at the event was the Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo, Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka, justice minister Nobert Mao, former Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi, Chief Justice Emiritus; Samuel Wako Wambuzi, Bart Katureebe, Benjamin Odoki and Deputy Chief Justice emeritus Steven Kavuma.

Judicial officers at the high court for the New Law Year opening.

Alfonse Owiny-Dollo, Chief Justice of Uganda, arrives for the opening of the New Law Year. The legal officers warmly welcomed him.

Vice President Jessica Alupo arrives for the opening of the New Law Year at the High Court. She was received by the Justice of Uganda, Alfonse Owiny-Dollo, Chief, Chief Justice of South Sudan, Chief Justice Chan Reec Madut., Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka, minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs Nobert Mao, Pius Bigirimana, the Permanent Secretary to the Judiciary, Chief Registrar of the Uganda Judiciary Sarah Langa Siu and other officials.
