New Kampala district land board inaugurated

The incoming board was advised to respect the existing policies sent by KCCA.

The new Kampala district land board has been sworn in before Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Magistrate Karakire Edgar. The new board is expected to handle district land matters for the next five years.


The board will be chaired by the former board member Joseph Anguria, a lawyer by profession; Ruth Kijjambu, the former town clerk of Kampala City Council; Josephine Muwonge, a former commissioner in Public Service; Ntale Arias, Mujuni Jumrex and Kato Hassan and Ssebaggala, all business personalities in the city.

The city minister for Health Education and Sports in KCCA, Oliver Namazzi, who represented the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who advised the incoming board to respect the existing policies sent by KCCA.



Chairperson Anguria promised to increase the revenue for KCCA from their docket and to streamline the land system in the city. They will also look into anomalies in district land transactions that happened before.
