Sport S 2 Nemostars 3
Cementing the top spot in the regular season and playoffs is the target for Nemostars' George Aporu.
Aporu disclosed this to Vision Sport after his team’s 3-2 defeat of Sport S in a mouthwatering game in Nsambya, the home of Sport S.
Nemostars led the game 2-0, with 25-14, 25-20 sets, but the hosts fought back taking two sets 30-28 and 25-14 to take them into the decider set.
The George Aporu boys re-composed themselves in the final set and unleashed their wrath on their hosts.
Led by Aporu and former professional Ivan Ongom, the visitors pounded their hosts mercilessly to win the set 17-15.
“It was a tough game for us, but I have to credit the opponents who gave a good test, but as always the big boys emerged victors,” Aporu said.
“We are now on top of the table and our target is to cement that until the end of the season and also the play-offs,” team captain Aporu said.
