UGANDA | DOCTOR | SODA
The National Drug Authority and the police are looking for a man who pretended to be a doctor in the Namutumba district and ended up giving a patient a soda intravenously instead of the necessary medication.
According to Abiaz Rwamwiri, the NDA spokesperson, when the fake doctor saw the NDA team he took off with his patient.
“While on compliance enforcement operations in Ivukula Namutumba, a team of doctors from the National Drug Authority found an illegal drug shop running a fake drip on a patient." "Upon seeing the drugs' body vehicle, both the patient and the quack medic ran away,” Rwamwiri, the NDA spokesperson, said.
The Drugs body calls upon the public to always seek medical treatment at established hospitals and to avoid going to any clinic in their villages because most of them use unqualified doctors.
“Let us take responsibility for our health,” Rwamwiri said.
