MV Kalangala returns to normal schedule

BUSINESS | MV | KALANGALA

KALANGALA - MV Kalangala, the vessel that plies Lutoboka-Nakiwogo route on Lake Victoria has today Tuesday returned to its normal schedule which was interrupted to accommodate high numbers of revellers travelling to Kalangala from December 23, 2022, for the festive season.

The vessel which had since then changed its departure and arrival times from either side of Entebbe and Kalangala also increased the trips from one round a day to three trips.

On its daily voyage schedule, the vessel will depart from Lutoboka in Kalangala at 8:00am to arrive in Nakiwogo at 11:30am then depart from Nakiwogo at 2:00pm to arrive in Kalangala at 5:30pm.

“The influx of revellers during these festive seasons always affects our normal schedule and since the numbers have started dropping, we have resumed our normal program of having one round voyage,” said Mujwahuzi.

Beach and Hotel proprietors have applauded MV Kalangala’s affordable services towards their tourists who manoeuvred to spend their festive seasons and new year's eve from the islands however much the economy is not stable.
