President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has held discussions with Malik Agar, the Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan.

During the meeting at State House Entebbe on Friday, February 13, Agar briefed President Museveni on the current situation in Sudan.


He updated him on the security, political developments and the challenges the country is facing, as well as the efforts being made to restore stability.

President Museveni, who appreciated the briefing, emphasised the importance of dialogue and regional cooperation in resolving the conflict.

A release from the Presidential Press Unit (PPU) states that he noted that peace in Sudan is important not only for the Sudanese people but also for the stability of the region.


Lately, Malik Agar is actively engaging in regional diplomacy, recently visiting Juba, where he delivered messages from Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan to President Salva Kiir.

During engagements with different leaders, discussions focus on strengthening bilateral relations, regional security, and addressing the ongoing conflict.
