WAKISO - President Yoweri Museveni, who is also the national chairperson of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has held a meeting with the party's central executive committee (CEC) members.

The Thursday, April 11, 2024, meeting was at State House, Entebbe, according to a statement from the Presidential Press Unit.

The President and the CEC members, the statement issued on the same day says, discussed issues concerning the NRM party.

CEC is the top organ of NRM, which is the ruling party.

Vice-President, Maj. (rtd) Jessica Alupo, Speaker of Parliament Anita Among, Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa, are some of the special guests that were co-opted into CEC by virtue of their positions in Government.

The meeting is a follow-up of an earlier one held early last month at the same venue.
