On Sunday, May 25, 2025, renowned international evangelist Bishop Dr. LaDonna Osborn held private talks with President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni, who hosted her at State House Nakasero.

The courtesy visit on Sunday served as a moment of spiritual reflection and renewed historical ties between the Osborn Ministry and Uganda, states a release from the First Lady's office.

Dr. Osborn was accompanied by Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, lead pastor of Covenant Nations Church and visionary behind the Light Up Uganda for Jesus campaign.

Bishop Osborn, the president and CEO of Osborn Ministries International in Tulsa, Oklahoma, arrived in Uganda on Wednesday, May 21.

While in Kampala, she participated in the six-day Light Up Uganda for Jesus Convention 2025 at Kololo Independence Grounds and the Covenant Nations Church Elders and Deacons Ordination Service at Las Vegas Hotel Bunga, Kampala.

On Sunday, President Museveni hailed the Osborn family’s earlier missionary work in Uganda, particularly their 1985 crusade during the nation's period of civil unrest.

The President acknowledged the significance of Bishop Osborn's spiritual legacy and her family's lasting impact on the nation.

First Lady Janet Museveni, who shares a long-standing relationship with Bishop Osborn, expressed gratitude for their spiritual friendship and mutual commitment to national transformation through faith.

According to the release, Bishop Osborn shared memories of her family's connection to Uganda, which began with her first visit in 1961 alongside her parents, legendary evangelists T.L. and Daisy Osborn.

She particularly spoke of her return in 1985 for a crusade at Lugogo during Uganda's difficult period. Reflecting on that time, she expressed joy at witnessing the nation's transformation under President Museveni's leadership.

Bishop Osborn recognised the First Lady for nurturing the relationship with the Osborn Ministry through the years. She described their bond as "spiritually significant" and affirmed her admiration for the First Lady's enduring faith and national influence. "This is one of the greatest honours of my life," Bishop Osborn said of her current visit.

Speaking of Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, Bishop Osborn noted how their meeting in Tulsa, Oklahoma, had inspired a renewed partnership through the "Light Up Uganda for Jesus" campaign. "When she shared the vision, it wasn't just her words I heard. I felt the call of God for a nation," Osborn said.

At the meeting, she offered prayers for divine blessings over the President and First Lady's legacy and service to the nation.
