President Yoweri Museveni has attended the 4th anniversary celebrations of Elohim church run by the Deputy Chief of the Defense Forces of the UPDF Gen. Peter Elwleu at his home in Anyara Kalaki district.

The President was welcomed by the Vice President Jessica Alupo.

In 2019, President Museveni presided over the opening of this church where Gen Elwleu also celebrated his appointment as the Commander of Land Forces.

Thousands of people including army generals, Members of Parliament, ministers, religious leaders of various churches and cultural leaders are in attendance.

Gen Elwleu who leads prayers at his church every Sunday attributes his rise in the army to God.

“I celebrate Elohim who has elevated me from this village into the senior position of being an MP representing the army in Parliament as well as being the Deputy Chief of the Defense Forces,” Gen Elwleu said.
