Mukono businessman's home targeted in armed robbery

They overpowered and tied up two watchmen before stealing two TV screens, five smartphones, and cash worth 5 million shillings.

A gang of ten armed robbers attacked a businessman’s home in Butamba Village, Namasajja, Kyampisi, on Saturday afternoon, making off with millions in cash and a vehicle.

According to Police, the Officer in charge of operations at Nagalama (names withheld), the assailants, armed with pangas, stormed the home of a businessman identified only as Mwesigwa at around 2:00 pm.

They overpowered and tied up two watchmen before stealing two TV screens, five smartphones, and cash worth 5 million shillings.

The robbers also made off with a grey Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number UA 609AD.

Police have launched an investigation under case reference CRB 162/2025 Mukono, and efforts to track down the suspects are underway.

any suspicious activity to the police.
