As the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit kicks off today at the Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo, Uganda, MTN Uganda takes center stage as the official telecommunications partner.



This acknowledgment comes as a result of MTN's extensive collaboration with the Ugandan government, offering crucial support for the planning and execution of this significant event.

Since November 2023, MTN Uganda has actively worked alongside the government to provide essential services for the summit's success.

MTN has taken the lead in branding efforts from Entebbe International Airport to various routes and venues, aiming to position Uganda as an ideal destination for trade and investment.

Scheduled to run from January 15th to 20th, the NAM Summit is set to bring together global leaders and stakeholders for vital discussions.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of ICT, Dr. Amina Zawedde, expressed the government's appreciation for MTN Uganda's reliable partnership and officially designated the company as the official telecommunications provider for the summit.

CEO Ms. Sylvia Mulinge welcomed the delegates to Uganda, emphasizing the company's commitment to ensuring the success of the summit.

As the NAM Summit unfolds, MTN Uganda is at the forefront, ensuring seamless communication, connectivity, and support for all participants.
