MPs question Police capacity to enforce new alcohol Bill

“Currently, we have about 2,184 sub-counties. That means if an honourable member here is in a district that has 10 sub-counties…if we are equipped with that number of personnel and motorcycles, then identification and monitoring of bars within those areas becomes easy,” Ocaya added.

KAMPALA - Police have admitted to lacking the capacity to enforce the Alcoholic Control Bill, 2023, at present, raising concerns among lawmakers.
