Masaka school fire victim buried in Kakumiro

One of the victims of the Masaka school dormitory fire has been buried in Kakumiro town council.

Aloyizious Ahebwa's body was returned to his ancestral home on Tuesday.

He was son to Major Joseph Sebukeera of Kakumiro town council.

Seven pupils died after a fire gutted the dormitory at Kasaana Junior Primary School in Masaka City on Monday morning.

During the burial on Wednesday Rev Father Joachim Mugisa from Kakumiro Catholic Parish called on mourners to be strong in God during their trying times.

Major Joseph Sebukeera says that his son was in top class.  He succumbed deep severe burns as a result of the inferno.

Lauben Sekabira who represented the Kasaana Junior Primary School management says that police investigations continue to establish the cause of the fire. He assured mourners that a comprehensive report would soon be out.

Major David Matovu the Kakumiro Resident District Commissioner has commended the family of the deceased for co-operating with the school amicably and peacefully.
