Masaka leaders reject Edward Ssekandi’s free land, opt to buy

It all started when former vice-president Edward Ssekandi donated 10 acres for the construction of the district headquarters. However, the district administration instead resolved to buy another piece of land, sparking controversy.

Ssekandi, who is also a former MP for Bukoto Central, handed over the land title to the local government minister, Rapheal Magyezi, last December for the construction of the district headquarters.
