Man jumps into Karuma Falls

An unidentified man on Wednesday evening jumped into Karuma Falls, something that left the soldiers manning Karuma Bridge in shock.
The incident happened at around 5pm when the man –speaking Acholi lingual –greeted the soldiers at the bridge before jumping into the running water.
One of the soldiers manning the bridge spoke on condition of anonymity that the man walking from the direction of the southern bank of the falls to the northern bank, left behind a cap and a bottle of Sting energy drink.
Morris Okidi, the Officer in –charge of Karuma Police Outpost confirmed the incident saying the case has been registered at the police outpost under SD 13/03/04/2024.
He explained that the man who appears to be in his mid-30s wore a pair of blue jean trousers and a black T-shirt.
This is not the first incident. Last year, a man riding a motorbike from Kamdini Town Council in Oyam district, parked his motorcycle on the main road at Karuma Bridge, before he jumped into the water
