Past international director of Lions Clubs International Aruna Oswal has arrived in Uganda for a one-day working visit aimed at strengthening humanitarian partnerships and assessing ongoing community projects.
Oswal landed at Entebbe International Airport on May 6, 2026, at 9:00am aboard Kenya Airways, accompanied by an entourage that included second vice-international president Dr Manoj Shah.
They were received by members of the Lions Club in Uganda, led by District 411B Governor Allen Tush Naturinda, alongside Area Leader for the Lions Clubs International Foundation Dr Dans Naturinda and LCIF Coordinator for District 411B JB Ntangale.

During her visit, Oswal is expected to tour Mulago National Referral Hospital, where she will officially inaugurate the Aruna Abhey Oswal Children’s Playground at the hospital’s cancer ward.
The playground, which she sponsored during her previous visit in November of the 2023–2024 Lions year, is designed to support the therapy and emotional well-being of children undergoing cancer treatment.
She will also visit the Lions Sustainable Nutrition Project at Mwanamugimu, located within the same hospital complex. The initiative focuses on improving nutrition for vulnerable children and complements ongoing medical care efforts.
According to District Governor Naturinda, Oswal’s visit underscores the importance of strengthening partnerships to expand humanitarian services across Uganda.
She noted that the delegation’s presence offers an opportunity to showcase achievements realised through collaboration with various partners.
“The guests are here to witness the impact of the work we have carried out as Lions members alongside our partners,” Naturinda said during the reception at Entebbe.
Lions Club District 411B Uganda currently comprises 67 clubs with a membership exceeding 2,700 individuals.
The visit comes at a time when the organisation is intensifying efforts to grow its membership and establish a second district in Uganda, a move aimed at enhancing service delivery and reaching more communities in need.
The one-day tour highlights the Lions’ continued commitment to health, nutrition, and community support initiatives across the country.
