The county sheikh of Soroti City, Sheikh Yusuf Okiror, has urged the Muslim community in Teso to remain faithful and avoid actions that would tarnish their image before God.

“Let our fasting not go in vain. We should not return to the evil things we avoided while fasting because God will not be happy with us,” Sheikh Okiror advised.

Leading Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Mayor’s Gardens in Soroti city, Sheikh Okiror cautioned that some Muslims tend to revert to ungodly acts after Ramadan, which, he said, brings shame before God.
